This is the latest piece to come from the life drawing class, I'm attending. It was a two week pose, which took a great amount of stamina.
For the first sitting, the class blocked in the model with acrylic (very bold / loose strokes) which is similar to the way I paint. This approach allows the artist to just let go and not to get too precious about what's in front of them.
The second sitting was focused on forming the model into a more realistic image (using pastel). The model was surrounded by very bright, vibrant colours, which I wanted to continue directly onto her.
